These three clean-cut Hawaii residents may not have looked like accomplished musicians, but they were. David Guard first learned the open-G Hawaiian guitar and took up the banjo after a Weaver's concert; lead singer Bob Shane was much influenced by Harry Belefonte, and he sang with studied clarity; and Nick Reynolds contributed steady, old-timey guitar and signature harmony. Summary : Relive the the "Good Old Days"
This brings me back to my younger years living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love the Kingston Trio and these are their best songs. A must for any Kingston fan.

If you like modern folk music then you'll love this CD. There's a lot of the tunes made famous by the Kingston Trio (like Tom Dooley) and the sound quality is excellent.

This album brought back good memories of when I was pre-teen. The Kingston Trio were very popular when I was growing up. This album has some of the best Kingston Trio's songs.
